Invitation to tender for Provision of National Diathermy Equipment, initial requirements for the new children's hospital, Dublin 8
Mini tender competition amongst those qualified on HSE Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS HSE 23034), for the provision of National Diathermy Equipment, comprising Electro Surgical generator (ESU), smoke evacuator with mobile cart and an Argon Plasma unit for Theatre and ICU. The system must meet the following requirements. 1. The Electro Surgical Unit system must meet all local, national, and European standards relating to the electrosurgery usage in surgical, medical and clinical settings and be suitable for neonate, infant, paediatric and adult patients. 2. A mobile cart must be available. The cart shall be robust and provide space to mount the following: Smoke Evacuator and Argon Plasma unit. Is it desirable that the tendered device consisting of Mobile Cart, electrosurgical unit, smoke evacuation system and an optional Argon Plasma Unit comply, as a system, with the European communities (EEC) Medical Device Regulation (MDR) (Regulation (EU) 2017/745), I.E.C. 60601-1, and must be clearly CE marked and Electrically safety class rated. 3. The system must be capable of providing monopolar and bipolar power outputs including cut, coagulation, and blend functions with an associated smoke evacuation system and capable of integrating an Argon Plasma unit. 4. The electrosurgical unit must be suitable for use in procedures requiring high power (i.e. urology) and low-medium power settings (i.e. General Surgery, Cardio and Thoracic surgery, Gastroenterology, Orthopaedics, Maxillofacial) and very low power (i.e. neurosurgery).
