Oslo University Hospital, the Department for Pathology (Radiumhospitalet) shall procure an instrument that shall be used to meet the need for gene testing, which is part of the strategy for adapted medicine within cancer. The procured instrument shall be used specifically for the implementation of Infinium MethylationEPIC v2.0 analysis. Analysing DNA methylation patterns has over time become an established diagnostic method that is included in who ́s classification systems. Our view is that the instrument, iScan System from Illumina, is the only one of its kind that can carry out this analysis on samples from FFPE.Vi therefore choose to make the purchase through an intention notice. Any objections are to be reported to the project manager within 10 days after the published notice.
