Description

"Fedify’ is an open-source framework that provides the building blocks needed to create ActivityPub-based applications. It includes components that application developers need to integrate services into the so-called ‘Fediverse’, an open network of social media applications. As part of this project, identified vulnerabilities are being addressed, for example with regard to the integration of web frameworks, the development of tools for error diagnosis, and the creation of structured documentation. Innovation proposals are also being evaluated and implemented in a targeted manner. "Federation" technologies protect the public interest by retain ownership of their data, exercise greater control over privacy, and avoid dependence on a single provider. "Fedify" enables this technology to be further developed and become prevalent across the web.
