Description

The old deposit ‘Alter Stadtr Müllplatz’ in Balingen is located in the former Talaue of the Talbach and was used as a landfill between 1888 and 1950. The valley stream is routed through the old deposit. The structure has a length of 195m from the inlet on the upper current side to the outlet on the lower current side a slope of 2.5m and runs in a horizontal direction in a slight arc. With a ridge height of around 3.15m - 2.30m, the brazing can be walked on throughout. The structure was built or extended at different times in different types and qualities (e.g. sandstone, reinforced concrete, corrugated steel). Due to the damage found to the veneering with the risk of water retention as a result of a total closure by cladding, a remediation of the veneering is necessary. In 2020, a refurbishment investigation with building appraisals was carried out. A supplementary recovery investigation was completed in 2022. This recommends the installation of a corrugated steel construction as an arch profile. The further planning services and construction measures must be carried out taking into account the protection of nature, species and water and taking into account current findings on flood protection, for which, if necessary, separate expert opinions and planning services are commissioned.
