BG-Sofia: Seismic services
The planned volume of the contract ‘Interpretation of 2D seismic data from licence block ‘1-18 Trakia’ has a total seismic profile length of 472 km². Depending on the results of the field seismic activities and the processing of newly obtained seismic data from block ‘18-1 Trakia’, the Contracting Authority reserves the right to order interpretation of an additional amount of seismic data, up to a maximum of 20 % (twenty) of the above volume.
Block ‘1-18 Trakia’ is located in south-eastern Bulgaria and is located in the Haskovo region. The block has a surface area of 940 km² and covers the north-west part of the so-called Thrace oil basin.
The interpretation should consist of tracking the main pivotal horizons, drawing up time and structural maps, maps of equal thickness, as well as identifying target horizons and structures of oil interest and prospects. The depth of the future horizons is assumed to be between 500 and 1 500 m. The sediment cut is expected to be represented by neogen-Palaeogenic terraces and carbonate rocks. It is also conceivable that sediments may exist at greater depth.
