Description

Die Abteilung External Affairs (im Folgenden “EA") ist Teil des Bereichs Communications & External Affairs. Die Abteilung ist verantwortlich für die Beziehungen des Hafens zu Stakeholdern im In- und Ausland. Dazu gehören die Anteilseigner, die Kommunen entlang des Hafengebietes, das politische Den Haag sowie die Nachbarländer und die Europäische Union. Im ständigen Dialog mit allen relevanten Partnern sichert EA so die „license to operate“ für den Rotterdamer Hafen. EA hat zwei Vollzeitstellen speziell für die strategische Zusammenarbeit mit Deutschland. Diese sind insbesondere für die Kontakte zu Politik und Verwaltung in Deutschland auf Bundesebene sowie zu den Bundesländern und hier vor allem zu den Rheinanliegern Nordrhein-Westfalen, Baden-Württemberg, Rheinland-Pfalz und Hessen verantwortlich. Enge Beziehungen gibt es aber auch zu strategischen Partnern wie den Binnenhäfen am Rhein, den Industrie- und Handelskammern sowie deutschen Interessenverbänden, in denen die PoR zum Teil auch Mitglied ist. EA wird bei dieser Arbeit unterstützt durch Vertreter des Hafens in Deutschland und Österreich (Rotterdam Representatives) und steht in engem Austausch mit der Vertriebsabteilung des Hafens und den dort für die DACH-Region zuständigen Business Managern.
