Description

L'EPFL prévoit d'acquérir un microscope électronique à balayage environnemental (ESEM) spécialement adapté aux applications d'électrocatalyse pour son laboratoire de caractérisation in situ des nanomatériaux avec des électrons (INE) de la faculté d'ingénierie (STI).
L'équipement sera dédié à la recherche de pointe dans la caractérisation à méso-échelle de l'électrocatalyse et des applications électrochimiques surveillées en temps réel:
— imagerie des processus induits par la température et des inondations de solutions dans les structures poreuses;
— analyse morphologique et chimique induite par les processus électrochimiques;
— études des gaz dégagés au cours des processus électrocatalytiques (par exemple produits gazeux de la réaction de réduction du CO2 et de la réaction de dégagement d'oxygène).
