Description

The aim is to investigate whether, by defining additional formal properties for the EULYNX specification, the scope for interpretation can be closed, a validation of the specification as a whole can be carried out and black box tests can be made possible. Furthermore, the applicability of automated test environments for interlocking components will be evaluated by test experts using the example and used to create a simulated expert opinion. Due to their number, the few major LST manufacturers are able to dictate prices and availability of interlocking components. European railway infrastructure companies hope to achieve a market entry of medium-sized companies in control and safety technology with the help of standardized interfaces. The resulting integration of interlocking components from different manufacturers into a single interlocking presents new challenges for safety proof and approval. For example, using the previous processes would also require considerable time. Inspired by practices in other industries, the railway is ready to pivot to innovative tools and adapted processes.
