Description

— the Council of Ministers decided in 2009 on the housing of the policy centres of the 13 departments in The Hague in the context of the memorandum on the Renewing of the Rijksdienst. For the Ministries of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) and Social Affairs and Employment (SZW), this means that, in the long term, the policy centres of VWS and SZW and a number of services are jointly housed in the offices of De Resident in The Hague. At present, the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport is already housed in De Resident;
— the aim is to achieve future-proof housing for the policy and non-policy centres of SZW and VWS in De Resident, with 2400 workplaces (in accordance with the National Physical Work Environment (FWR)) and shared general facilities for both departments;
— the accommodation in De Resident should allow for different ways of working and the office concept must fit in with current and future nation-wide developments. Some of the existing provisions remain in principle unchanged as the use remains unchanged.
