Description

Klinikum Bremen Mitte (KBM), Klinikum Bremen Ost (KBO), Klinikum Links der Weser (KBL) and Klinikum Bremen Nord (KBN) offer medical and nursing care of the highest level (maximum care) at a total of four locations. With almost 3,000 beds and about 8,000 employees, Gesundheit Nord gGmbH Klinikverbund Bremen is one of the largest municipal hospital groups in Germany. Explanation of the construction project: Health Nord currently operates kitchens at all of its four locations (KBM, KBO, KBL, KBN), most of which require refurbishment. As part of the restructuring, a high-convenience food distribution centre is to be built on the existing kitchen area in the Klinikum Bremen Ost (KBO), which supplies all GeNo clinics with trayted food. The existing flushing technology is age-, function- and energy-related and is no longer suitable for use in the new distribution centre. The new flushing technology is to be equipped with four belt dishwashers and three car wash cabins as well as a manual car wash in order to remain operational even in the event of a failure of the car wash. The plants are planned for a capacity of approx. 2,100 sets of covers and approx. 130 transport trolleys, which have to be flushed three times a day.
