Description

DB InfraGO AG is planning the construction of the Gäubahn Nord, including the Pfaffensteig Tunnel. Between the airport and Goldberg, the route runs for the most part in the approximately 11-kilometre-long Pfaffensteig Tunnel. Measures are also foreseen to increase speed and improve lines on existing lines in this area. The project will be implemented in all relevant service phases as a partnership model for rail (IPA). All Allianz partners are already contributing their expertise to the design and approval planning of the trades. The total investment for this project is estimated at EUR 1.9 billion. Of this, approximately EUR 81.285 million has already been settled through an existing contract. The newly advertised insurance contract will replace the existing contract. A currently planned construction period until 20 December 2032 is expected. The insurance contract shall start from the date of the award of the contract following the completion of the tendering procedure, following a pre-existing insurance cover. (Type L-mod.) In liability insurance, the coverage amount per claim is EUR 25,000,000 flat rate for personal injury, property damage and pecuniary damage, including benefits from environmental liability insurance. In planning liability insurance, a separate cover amount of EUR 10,000,000 per claim is available as a lump sum for property damage and pecuniary damage. The aforementioned sums are triple maximized. Extended maintenance in the construction and assembly insurance part is 42 months. Subsequent liability amounts to 10 years in liability insurance, 5 years in environmental liability and environmental damage insurance. The general deductible is at least EUR 25,000. The deductible is not applicable for personal injury. Extended planning coverage is included in planning liability insurance. As part of the extended planning coverage, the deductible amounts to EUR 100,000. In particular, coverage amounts, deductibles and capacities are the subject of the negotiations.
