In the context of opening up the contracted rail passenger transport market to competition, TRANSDEV GROUP responded to the first call for tenders launched by the South Region (PACA) and was chosen as the successful tenderer to operate the Marseille – Toulon – Nice line. Its specialised railway subsidiary Transdev Rail Sud Inter-métropoles (TRSI) will operate the line from 29 June 2025 under a 10-year public service concession contract for the operation of urban and interurban trains. In order to secure the operation of the railway line from a continuity of service point of view, TRSI wishes to put in place contracts for the provision of alternative road transport services by coach, in the event of interruption or disruption of rail service.
