Description

The Myriade sector, developed by the CNES from 1 999 in partnership with the satellite prime contractors Astrium SAS and Thales Alenia Space France, has enabled the emergence of an efficient and competitive microsatellite slot (class 120-150 kg). The success of Myriade has been demonstrated over the past 12 years by the realisation of some 20 microsatellites for scientific, defence and commercial missions.
The relevance of this microsatellite segment is still confirmed. In order to maintain the competitiveness of the product and to meet the needs of new tasks, capacity extension is needed in terms of lifetime, mass, power, storage, data transmissions offered at payload. This upgrade of the Myriade sector gives rise to the ‘Myriade Evolutions’ sector (class 400 kg). In this connection, the CNES and its partners Thales Alenia Space France and Astrium SAS wished to continue to work together to meet their respective needs between 2015 and 2025. They have a common desire to renew the relevant principles and achievements of the previous sector and to develop it into new capacities in order to have a competitive and sustainable product. A Myriade Evolution Partnership Agreement was then concluded in 2012 between the three partners.
In addition, Myriade Evolution forms part of the Future Investment Plan (PIA) under component 2, entitled ‘Development of high application satellites’, for which the CNES was selected by the State as an operator under the Amending Finance Law No 2010-237 of 9 March 2010. After a successful phase A, the CNES and its partners decided to launch the process of selecting the suppliers of the Myriade Evolutions platform equipment. In this connection, the CNES is called upon to publish a series of contract notices.
The services covered by this contract notice relate only to the following equipment for the Myriade Evolutions sector: solar generator and associated means.
The services relating to this notice will consist of two phases for the equipment:
1. on the one hand, and if necessary, a non-recurring phase of activity comprising the definition, development, realisation and qualification of a first flight model. If the applicant has already qualified equipment, this first phase may be limited to a qualification delta vis-à-vis the Myriade Evolutions standard.
2. on the other hand, a phase of production of recurring flight models for a minimum period of four years with a firm, degressive and optimised price commitment vis-à-vis the CNES and its partners.
In general, the CNES and its partners will favour the technical solution which will best meet the needs expressed at a recurring targeted cost.
A successful candidate will be awarded for the equipment:
— a contract by the CNES for the activities as defined in points 1 and 2 above;
— and a contract jointly by the partners Thales Alenia Space France and Astrium SAS for the activities as defined in paragraph 2 above.
