Criterion:
Type: quality
Description: The quality criterion includes the following sub-criteria: (a) Operational requirements a. Bridge length (45%) i. Bridge length is a decisive tactical factor. A longer bridge gives the tactical commander more flexibility in the choice of crossing point. ii. A 26m bridge can also exceed the Russian attack crossing capacity. b. Modularity of bridges (15%) It is desirable that the long bridge can be converted into TWO short bridges. This modularity allows the length of the bridge to be adjusted according to the breach encountered, thus saving crossing resources during tactical manoeuvres. c. Interoperability (40%) It is desirable for the MAB to be interoperable with as many NATO member states as possible, especially France as a strategic partner under CaMo (motorised capability).
