Description

The Assignment includes the supply of food for arrestees to the (approximately) 40 cell complexes. From its core task of ‘law enforcement’, the Police has the duty to take care of the persons who are locked in at the location of the Police. As described in Article 26 of the Instructions for the Office of the Police, the Chief of Police must make arrangements to ensure that the Enclosed Person has at his disposal at least: sleeping accommodation, eating and drinking in accordance with medical and philosophical or religious requirements, sanitary facilities, the necessary medical care and information about the state of affairs in the cell complex. The need for food and drink for the benefit of the Enclosed will continue as long as the Police remains responsible for the care of persons it encloses at the location of the Police.
