Creation of a sludge storage slab and related works on the UPBD site Inter-prefectural Order No 2021/DRIEAT/SPPE/077 of 22 November 2021 requires, under Article L.171-8 of the Environment Code, compliance and precautionary measures for temporary deposits, on land application plots, of sludge from the wastewater treatment of the Seine downstream station. As the existing storage facilities on the site are not sufficient to comply with these provisions, the site has initiated the project to build an additional storage slab within the Seine downstream site with the associated fire defence and retention basins for the management of alveoli, rainwater and fire water. The project consists of the creation in the so-called UPBD area of a complementary storage area for dehydrated sludge before its agricultural recovery. This area contains 6 separate cells separated by a reinforced concrete wall 5 m high with a thickness of 50 cm for an area of 6500 m2. The project includes the extension of the service road, the installation of two gutters (one that will take over the runoff from the existing storage and a second for the new cells), the installation of a cover for the recovery of runoff water and associated pumps and equipment, the installation of lighting for the area, the management of fire water with the creation of two fire management zones and associated equipment, the installation of a cover for the recovery of fire water and associated equipment, adjoining networks, associated roads, all electrical / automation equipment and landscaping.
