General refurbishment invalid barracks - technical planning Structural design
The large district town of Donauwörth is planning the general refurbishment of the Invalidenkaserne (Pflegstraße 24).The elongated two-storey building with saddle roof construction with tail gables and courtyard-sided, partially boarded arbor was built in 1715/16 as barracks for 400 men. From 1803 the barracks were used as an invalid house and from 1805 as a hospital. Today is the Invalidenkaserne, a residential building with 18 residential units and the clubhouse of the soldier and camaraderie association Donauwörth. The invalid barracks is a single building monument (file number D-7-79-131-51) and is to be fundamentally renovated. Exclusive residential use is planned for the property in the future. The total costs (KG 200-600) are provisionally assumed to be EUR 6.0 million gross. Possible funding programmes are to be examined and developed during the planning process. A detailed description can be found in the procurement documents - Annex 01.
