Description

The contract covers the execution of the works corresponding to Phase 1 of the West Metropolitan Park, in accordance with the Basic and Execution Project approved by the Local Government Board on July 4, 2025. The action is part of the ‘Murcia Río’ urban strategy and aims at the environmental, landscape and social recovery of an extensive area of old orchard on the right bank of the Segura River, contributing in turn to the urban connectivity between Barriomar, Conexión Sur (green way of burial) and the Paseo Fluvial del Malecón. The intervention includes the urbanization of the park, landscape adaptation, the creation of spaces for stay and recreation, the provision of green infrastructure and the implementation of a thematic area of children's games of a metropolitan nature, conceived as a structuring node and pole of attraction for citizens.
