By 2030, the railway intends to comprehensively rehabilitate around 40 busy lines, including seven in Bavaria. The aim is to completely renew busy and rehabilitated routes within the shortest possible period of time. June 2026 begins the general renovation of the route 5830 Obertraubling-Passau.
