Description

RheinNetz GmbH is planning the construction of new 110 kV cable routes to connect a large heat pump in the Cologne city area. The aim is to ensure a high-performance power supply in the high-voltage area by connecting the substations (UW) Nord, UW Mole and the new UW Niehler Hafen. The following cable systems are provided for the realization of the network structure: Section Number of cable systems Length UW Niehler Hafen – UW Mole 2 approx. 0.55 km UW Niehler Hafen – UW Nord 2 approx. 2.60 km UW Mole – UW Nord 1 approx. 2.10 km The routing is carried out taking into account defined connection points in the respective substations (offer phase Annexes 5.1 to 5.4). It is to be searched for georedundant single paths for all track sections. In order to comply with the redundant supply, the individual cable systems are preferably laid in spatially separated streets, but in the case of a borderline, at least on opposite sections of a common street. The cable laying is mainly made in open trench construction. Only at neuralgic points (e.g. railway tracks, crossings, water bodies, bridges, etc.) is the production carried out in underground construction.
