Norway-Sandnes: Fire station construction work
The contracting authority has entered into a contract for a total engineering design and construction of a new main fire station with an accident and emergency unit and ambulance central at Stangeland, in accordance with the tender documents with description of the assignment and annexes. The total gross area, including options of the assignment is 13 806 m² and includes:
— Detailed engineering design based on the existing draft project and preliminary project;
— The construction of a new main fire station with an accident and emergency unit including emergency aid (20 places) and an ambulance central;
— Development of an outdoor area;
— Supply and installation of fixtures in accordance with descriptions.
The project shall be executed as a modified engineering, procurement and construction contract and the site is expected to be ready for initiation of construction works in May 2015. The Contractor must have the capacity to complete a new main fire station with the with an accident and emergency unit,ambulance central and outdoor area in accordance with the contract, so that the hand-off can take place no later than 20.1.2017 (final deadline). The new main fire station with an accident and emergency unit, an ambulance central and outdoor area shall be in operation in February 2017 and shall be planned and constructed in accordance with criteria for low energy buildings given in NS (the Norwegian Standard) 3701. The mezzanine and carriage hall in the first floor is an exception from the requirements in relation to low energy buildings and shall be planned and constructed in accordance with TEK10.
