Description

University Hospital Southampton NHS FT intend to purchase a Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System from Intuitive Surgical to assist with surgical procedures. The intended purchase will give clinical and patient benefits, including minimally invasive techniques leading to a shorter hospital stay for patients and faster patient recovery with fewer complications. Appropriate levels of staff will need to be trained and supported during the integration of the robotic system into surgical practices, with the trust requiring ongoing support to ensure that the system continues to provide a high level of service.
