The provision of External ICT Datacentre Electrical and Technician Services
In summary, the Services comprise of a comprehensive electrical and datacentre support service. Our current operational model necessitates a proactive approach to maintenance, rapid response to incidents and ongoing optimization of our electrical and datacentre environments. Due to the critical nature of its business, which involves the payment of benefits and pensions to a large proportion of the population, the Department requires that systems down‑time including infrastructure that supports systems is to be kept to an absolute minimum. This critical service involves ensuring the uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure including power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and other electrical equipment. Key responsibilities include performing checks on electrical equipment, conducting site audits, relocating and setting up racks, managing the cable infrastructure, performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment, diagnosing and resolving electrical faults and malfunctions.
