Description

The school building is a historic solid building built around 1876, basement and 4-storey. The school building is classified as a monument under Section 3(2) of the NDSchG. The main building contains the teaching, group and differentiation rooms, the administration, multipurpose rooms and adjoining rooms. In addition to storage and technical rooms, there is a workshop and a teaching kitchen in the basement, these uses are to be upgraded in the course of the conversion. In phase 1, a third staircase was built over all floors and a new canteen building (with music rooms on the 2nd floor). In phase 2, the 3rd floor (former caretaker's apartment and the unused attic) was converted into school rooms and a ventilation system was installed in the attic. The rehabilitation of the sanitary cores with the creation of new risers was also carried out in phase 2. The final expansion will continue in parts until the 43rd anniversary. KW 2025 will continue. The school building is to be refurbished, rebuilt and expanded in sections during ongoing operation in the next few years.
