Dangers caused by the intrusion of malware in the use of mobile data carriers should be effectively countered by the customer. Since mobile data carriers pose a considerable risk to IT security in the network and on end systems, a security zone should be created in which mobile data carriers can be safely tested. All data carriers (CD-ROM, DVD, USB sticks, memory cards) should be checked by the users for malware before use on a computer within the company network.
