Description

Conwy County Borough Council has appointed the successful tenderer to provide training and employment support services for adults with mental health needs.
The New Work connections project intends to provide individuals with mental health problems greater opportunity to achieve economic independence and greater self esteem. The ultimate goals and outcome will understandably be different between individuals but the objective is to assist each participant to achieve their own potential.
The project aims to increase employment and tackle economic inactivity by bringing more people into employment by implementing active labour market policies and supporting people to overcome a wide range of barriers to sustainable employment, and helping to address specific barriers faced by disadvantaged groups.
