United Kingdom-East Kilbride: Foreign economic-aid-related services
The Department for International Development (DFID) is establishing the Great for Partnership programme to deliver the UK government's manifesto commitment to boost partnerships between UK institutions and their counterparts in the developing world by leveraging the skills, expertise and capability of the UK's world-renowned institutions. It will partner genuine demand for UK expertise from partner countries with high-quality supply from UK institutions. All partnerships will contribute to sustained relationships between a UK expert and/or institution and their counterpart. Core partnership activities could include twinning units within partner country ministries with those in the UK; short- and long-term deployments of staff (into and out of the UK); peer-to-peer networking; workshops (at country and at regional level); conferences; remote mentoring; and/or study visits, with a view to a sustainable transfer of behaviours and skills for genuine development impact. This contract will be awarded for 4.5 years, and there is the provision to extend for a further 2 years.
