Description

The object of the acquisition is the extension of the maintenance contract for Nuijamaa's X-ray vehicle. The maintenance contract was originally signed in 2017. This acquisition fulfils the criteria of Section 40(2)(2) of the Public Procurement Act for direct procurement, as Nuctech Company Limited owns the source code of the Nuijamaa X-ray vehicle, which means that no other supplier is able to maintain or repair the X-ray equipment software that controls the entire X-ray process and equipment operation. In addition, other suppliers will not be able to obtain all the spare parts required by the X-ray equipment for the maintenance of the equipment, as the spare parts will be manufactured by Nuctech Company Limited itself. In view of the above, no other supplier can arrange maintenance in a sensible and cost-effective manner. The purpose of the extension of the service contract is to extend the life cycle of the X-ray vehicle. The maintenance contract will be extended until further notice. The value of the maintenance contract is 100,000 €/year (VAT 0%).
