The Veddel Canal Bridges are over 80 years old and have reached their technical lifetime. The superstructures have fatigue phenomena and the backyards and their founders are severely damaged. In order to keep road and rail transport safe in the future and to keep the infrastructure in a condition for safe operation, the bridges, including reservoirs, must be renewed.
