Description

The aim of the procedure is to produce a multi-volume schoolbook for history teaching, which takes into account both the curricula of the German Länder and the curriculum of the Republic of Poland, textually in German and Polish.
The schoolbook is treated as a regular schoolbook as regards admission procedures in the German Länder and Poland.
The publishers will receive financial support for the project. The procedure and the amount of support will be decided on the basis of the calculations submitted by the publishers for the preparation and publication of the schoolbook.
On the basis of the instructions given in the “Tory book” document, the tenderer should: A German-Polish project – Recommendations" (hereinafter referred to as “recommendations”) develop and issue a history book. The ‘recommendations’ of the German-Polish project group cover the content of the Länder’s curricula and adapt them to school practice.
1. The project will be implemented through close cooperation between a German publisher and the Polish publisher Wydawnictwa Szkolne i Pedagogiczne Sp. z o.o. (WSIP).
2. Publishers share the responsibility for:
a. Basic structural decisions;
b. further didactisation and content of the school book;
C. the question of the number of volumes;
D. Structure of the schoolbook,
e. selecting maps, illustrations and source materials.
3. The two publishers jointly develop the schoolbook series on the basis of the ‘Recommendations’.
4. The individual volumes are to be offered successively in normal market equipment at an attractive/market price and in line with market conditions.
5. The preparation of the course should start immediately after the competition, with the aim of presenting the first volume at the beginning of the school year 2014/2015.
6. The publishers are expected to cooperate with the Steering Board of the Project Group on organisational, technical and substantive issues at each stage of the project.
7. At the request of the publishers, it is also possible to provide advice and support on the content of the project group by the expert committee of the project group and, in addition, support from the project office in Braunschweig.
8. The selected publishers then decide on the issues relevant to their schoolbook market, such as the drafting of work booklets, a teacher’s manual, a website with additional content, etc. These costs should be indicated separately in the budget estimate.
