Description

Die Stadtwerke Bonn Bus und Bahn haben 28 Niederflur-Fahrzeuge mit einer zusätzlichen Kaufoption auf 9 oder 12 Fahrzeuge bestellt. Diese sollen die heute im Einsatz befindlichen Niederflur-Fahrzeuge ablösen. Durch die vom Stadtrat der Bundesstadt Bonn beschlossene Fortschreibung des Nahverkehrsplans und der damit einhergehenden Weiterentwicklung des Stadtbahnangebots werden SWB Bus und Bahn und die SSB zusätzlich 32 notwendige Stadtbahnfahrzeuge beschaffen. Im Zusammenhang mit den Neubeschaffungen im Bahnbereich haben sich die Anforderungen an den Verkehrsbetrieb SWB Bus und Bahn geändert. Es wird eine Neukonzipierung / Erweiterung der heutigen Schienenbetriebshöfe Beuel und Dransdorf erforderlich, um nach jetzigem Kenntnisstand 28+9/12 NFL-Straßenbahnen und bis zu 120 Stadtbahnfahrzeuge betreiben zu können. Der Betriebshof Beuel ist für die Niederflurfahrzeuge ausgerichtet, der Betriebshof Dransdorf für die Hochflurfahrzeuge. Die Betriebshöfe sollen zukünftig auch von dem jeweiligen anderen Fahrzeugtyp nutzbar sein. In diesem Projekt soll der Stadtbahnbetriebshof Bonn Dransdorf unter laufendem Betrieb dahingehend angepasst bzw. erweitert werden, sodass dort, statt der heutigen 75 Stadtbahnen, zukünftig bis zu 120 Stadtbahnfahrzeuge instandgehalten und abgestellt werden können.
