Urological screening system
The UKJ operates a screening facility for urological examinations in the Department of Urology, which serves both the clinical care of patients. The following system is available for this purpose: Siemens Uroscope Omnia. This facility is to be replaced. For the urological department, a pulsed illumination system of the latest generation of devices is required, which is based on the current state of science and technology. The system, including accessories and small devices, must be designed to meet all examination requirements in the field of maximum university care in urology. It is suitable for the diagnostic and interventional care of patients of all ages, from adults to adolescents. In addition to the illumination system, the entire system in the examination room also includes additional devices that enable comprehensive, modern diagnostics. It is advantageous if the new system continues to use the existing infrastructure, including the steel base plate of the old system, the power supply, the network and the structural radiation protection. As a result, existing resources can be used efficiently, installation effort, downtime as well as dirt and dust loads in hospital operation can be reduced and costs for structural adjustments can be minimized. These technical requirements must therefore be taken into account when planning and implementing the new system. If re-use of the existing infrastructure is not technically possible, this must be presented in a comprehensible manner in the offer and offered an equivalent solution with the lowest possible expenses.
