Description

The project is aimed at upgrading the existing systems in the Executive Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture in connection with their inclusion in the CISE network for data exchange and use of services. The achievement of the general objective of upgrading the existing systems of EAFA will be achieved through the following specific objectives, corresponding to the activities planned under the project: • Achieving interoperability of the systems of the Executive Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture with the other participants in the InBulMarS project; • Seamless and secure exchange of information related to maritime surveillance and of interest to the Executive Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture and the other participants in the InBulMarS project; The systems covered by the development are: • Information and statistics system (ISS); • Electronic fishing logbook (EFR); • Fishing Vessel Monitoring System (FVMS); • External CISE information exchange module; • CISE Light Client for the display of georeferenced data with the functionality to display a graphical layout with detailed data and a trace for each vessel. • For any information that may be provided by another CISE network participant and is possible and appropriate to be presented in an existing EAFA system module (Legacy system), the relevant EAFA system module will be expanded with appropriate functionalities and integration with the CISE network. • Any information maintained in an existing module of the EAFA system will be made available to other participants through an appropriate extension of its functional scope and integration with the CISE network. • Any exchange of information over the CISE network which is in an area not covered by the concept of an existing EAFA system module, but which would contribute to making better use of the network's capabilities, will be set out in a separate external module. The scope of the project includes the implementation of the following main activities: • Activity 1. Upgrading functionalities in the Fishing Vessel Monitoring System (VMS), Information and Statistical System (ISS), Electronic Fishing Logbook (EFA) in order to integrate into the National Integrated Maritime Surveillance Network; • Activity 2. Implementation of CISE Light Client for visualization of data from the National Network for Integrated Maritime Surveillance; • Activity 3. Development and implementation of an external module (adapter) for information exchange to the National Network for Integrated Maritime Surveillance; • Activity 4.
