The places concerned are: Boden, Kalix, Piteå, Skellefteå, Umeå, Luleå, Kiruna, Pajala, Haparanda, Gällivare, Lycksele, Gävle, Stockholm, Helsingborg, Jönköping and Värnamo.
The purpose and objectives of the training;
The purpose and objectives of the training are that, at the end of their training, participants have the necessary skills to work independently, initiative, quality-oriented and respectful of the individual’s privacy, as personal assistants with people with various problems and difficulties in their daily life.
The target audience;
The target groups of the service are:
(A) jobseekers with an interest in the profession; and
(B) newly arrived foreign-born or other foreign-born with a lack of knowledge of the Swedish language with an interest in the profession.
Currently, the PES’s general priority among jobseekers is:
— participants in the job and development guarantee;
— young people in the job guarantee for young people;
— newly arrived immigrants;
— people with various disabilities and on long-term sick leave;
The content and structure of the training;
The PES asks for training with the following content and timeframes:
knowledge of the LSS and LASS legislation, confidentiality, confidentiality and reply (3 weeks);
professional role and behaviour, ethics and conflict management (3 weeks);
— lift technology, practical care (basic accident, cardiac and lung rescue) working environment (my workplace a second’s home) (3 weeks);
basic nutrition and nutrition and hygiene (2 weeks);
— information from users who have personal assistance and from someone working in the profession.
Study visits may also be included (1 week).
For the foreign-born group with a training period of up to 20 weeks at Gävle, vocational training is combined with SFI (Swedish for immigrants) 15 hours/week. The training in Swedish is carried out in the same training facilities as vocational training. The supplier is not responsible for the implementation of the SFI but for providing space for the SFI to be carried out at the supplier’s premises.
