Description

The purpose of the project is the construction of a new pipeline for the transport of water, with a total length of 17.795 m, from the existing barto diversion (abstraction) dam to the new reservoir D3 and then to the Bramiani reservoir, replacing the old damaged steel pipeline.
With the construction of this pipeline, part of the surface run-off upstream of the Black basin will be safely and adequately transferred, and the water capacity of the Bramiani reservoir will be significantly and reliably enhanced, so that the irrigation of the existing irrigation network in Ierapetra is adequately covered over an area of 35.380 stremma and the possibility of extending the irrigation networks to an additional area of approximately 18.000 stremma.
