Description

The city of Roeselare has an extensive sewerage system. Depending on asset management, a thorough inventory is needed, especially for the older and vulnerable zones. The approach and implementation of the studies and the delivery of the results are carried out in accordance with the methodology of the Flemish Environment Agency (Awis/VMM). VMM subsidises sewerage works provided that an up-to-date asset management plan is drawn up. The total trajectory of the AWIS inspection plan runs from 2023 to 2027. The objective of VMM is to map at least 50% of the high-risk sewers by the end of 2025. By the end of 2027, all critical sewers in the inspection plan must be mapped. The carving is done in our own GiS sewer database and is supplied by the City of Roeselare on the Waste Water Information System (Awis) of VMM. This assignment includes the execution of sewer camera inspections and the necessary sewer cleaning beforehand. The results are delivered digitally and compatible with GiS."
