Description

The Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Coburg (IHK) intends to expand and further develop its existing training centre into a future-oriented training campus. The aim of the project is the strengthening of the regional education and training infrastructure as well as the creation of modern, flexibly usable learning and event rooms for different qualification formats of vocational education and training. As an institution of economic self-government, the Coburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce plays a central role in the qualification of skilled workers and the promotion of lifelong learning. Accordingly, there is a continuous need for quality-assured, practice-oriented continuing education offerings that must be mapped in a spatially and technically up-to-date manner. The core renovation of a listed building, its conversion and functional adaptation to the requirements of a modern training center, as well as the structural and functional connection with the existing training center (above and below ground). Furthermore, the objective of the measure is to establish the functional and structural connection of the existing training centre to the new building to be built in order to create a coherent ‘training campus’. For this purpose, a wall breakthrough is provided for in the existing building, through which the direct connection is established, subject to the necessary monumental permission. The external access between the buildings takes place via newly constructed path systems including paving work as well as the necessary lighting and signage. In addition, a comprehensive refurbishment of the existing sanitary area is required. Due to the age and structural condition, all water-bearing pipes as well as the complete sanitary facilities must be renewed in order to meet the current technical and hygienic requirements. In the city of Coburg, due to the extensive historical building stock, there is a special focus on the preservation of architectural and heritage concerns, which must be taken into account in planning and implementation. The measure at issue in the invitation to tender is carried out taking into account the specific requirements of the protection of historical monuments. The project is supported by public funding (including BAFA and the Free State of Bavaria). The space programme for the project has already been agreed and confirmed. The milestones for the implementation of the project include: - Start of service: Oct 2026 - Start of construction: Q3 2027 - Depending on grant commitment - Completion: Q2 2028 The total cost of the project (KG 200-600) is forecast at €2.08 million gross and is divided into the following distribution of the KG: - KG 200 approx. 38.000€ - KG 300 approx. 1.171.000€ - KG 400 approx. 605.000€ - KG 500 approx. 169.000€ - KG 600 approx. 90.000€ It is intended to commission the following services with this invitation to tender: Services of property planning buildings and interiors according to §§ 33 et seq.
