Software Asset Management (SAM)
The tender relates to the provision of comprehensive software asset management (SAM) services that support the effective management of software assets at Swissgrid. In view of the challenges posed by the transition to cloud-based services and the need to keep an accurate overview of all software assets purchased, rented and used, Swissgrid is looking for a SAM service provider that ensures optimal license use, compliance security and cost efficiency. The focus is on the implementation, operation and continuous optimization of the SAM processes, supported by a SAM tool that meets the specific requirements of Swissgrid. The service includes high-quality data maintenance, integration with existing systems such as the CMDB and SCCM, as well as adaptability to future developments and a high level of user-friendliness. The aim is to find a SAM service provider that convinces not only with technological solutions, but above all with specialist expertise and strategic consulting in the SAM area. The estimated duration of the project is divided into three phases (milestones) with a total duration of 24 months. The total duration of SAM operations shall be 10 years during the period January 2026 to December 2035: * Phase 1: Implementation, integration and processes including Microsoft M365 and Lightweight SaaS (e.g. Miro, Deepl, Mentimeter etc.). Period: January 2026 to December 2026 (12 months) * Phase 2: Integration of SAP Hana, Ariba etc. Period: January 2027 to June 2027 (6 months) * Phase 3: Integration with Salesforce.
