Finland-Turku: Laboratory, optical and precision equipments (excl. glasses)
The Instrument Centre is a shared facility of University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University. The Instrument Centre maintains NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) and mass spectrometers and provides high-quality instrumentation for research and teaching. All instruments are jointly owned by the 2 universities (50:50). The Instrument Centre is now going to update its NMR spectrometers.
At the moment, the Instrument Centre has 5 high-field superconducting magnets: 600, 500, 2 x 400 and 250 MHz, equipped either Bruker or Jeol NMR spectrometers. The aim is to replace some of the magnets and update the spectrometers and probe heads for remaining magnets. In addition, 1 new whole NMR instrument (magnet + spectrometer) will be acquired. This instrument shall have a minimum of 600 MHz magnet and shall be equipped with low temperature cryoprobe.
University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University are jointly acting as buyers and University of Turku is also making this notification on behalf of Åbo Akademi University.
