Description

The subject of the invitation to tender is civil engineering and earthworks for the implementation of the 1. Construction phase of the rewetting of the Hündfelder Moores as part of the EU-LIFE project ‘CrossBorderBog’. The services include, in particular, the production of temporary transport routes, earth and soil movement work, the relocation and reinstallation of peat, the construction of dams and terrain modelling, as well as the production of seepage recesses and other hydraulic engineering facilities to control the water balance. The work is carried out within an ecologically particularly sensitive bog and nature reserve and must be carried out in compliance with extensive nature and species protection regulations. Particular requirements are placed on the soil-friendly use of equipment, construction site logistics and the protection of flora, fauna and bog soil. The aim of the measure is the permanent restoration of a natural water balance and the ecological upgrading of the bog area.
