Subject of the contract: The subject of the public contract is a service consisting in the development of greenery in the existing park by increasing its biodiversity by means of a large number of new plantings, including native species and blooming and scratching vegetation, the conservation of old-growth forests and the de-sealing of asphalt surfaces in the form of aisles and the construction of mineral and gravel alleys instead, together with equipping the area with small architecture, as part of the task entitled: ‘Adaptation of green-blue infrastructure in Płońsk to climate change’ Revitalisation of the Constitution Park of 3 May with an area of 7 200 m2 (Dz.nr wid. 754, area 217 city of Płońsk) includes: 1) carrying out specialized care works in the existing old-growth forest along with the implementation of dendrological expertise, 2) introducing new plantings of trees, shrubs, perennials and cover plants, 3) sowing lawns, 4) tearing off asphalt from alleys and making a permeable mineral-gravel surface of the stone carpet type, 5) dismantling used concrete benches and baskets, 6) equipping the area with small architecture (benches, baskets, tables for playing chess and seats and pergolas on the vines), 7) making park lighting powered from the existing power grid owned by the Municipality of the City of Płońsk. Within the park, there is a sealed area in the form of asphalt alleys (with an area of 0.1108 ha), which will be sealed by breaking the asphalt and removing the layer of contaminated soil, and then making mineral-gravel alleys. On the surface approx. 0.72 ha is planned to revitalize the biologically active area, by introducing new tree species with a well-developed root system. Planting of new vegetation as part of the task covered by the application will take place taking into account quality planting material, appropriate selection of native plant species, resistant to climate change (especially periodic droughts and flooding) in order to preserve the sustainability of the project. When designing the new greenery, the natural and landscape values were taken into account and it was assumed to achieve the right ecological effect in the form of reducing harmful substances in the environment, as well as water retention through the root system of trees located in the Park in order to reduce the drought effect.
