The University of Bucharest plans to acquire high-performance computing systems, necessary for research in the field of Artificial Intelligence. The procurement will be made under the project “Romanian Artificial Intelligence Hub – HRIA”. Within the framework of the ‘Romanian Artificial Intelligence HUB – HRIA’ project, the University of Bucharest will carry out research activities in the field of Artificial Intelligence, which require powerful computing systems to run the related experiments. The reasons for purchasing the systems are as follows: • Facilitating scientific research: The acquisition of high-performance computing systems is an essential element in supporting and developing research in the field of Artificial Intelligence. This advanced equipment provides the ability to process significant amounts of data and train large-scale machine learning models, contributing to relevant and innovative scientific results. • Developing students' skills: High-performance computing systems offer students involved in the research process the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technologies. • Increasing the competitiveness of the university: Computing resources boost international competitiveness and enable researchers to respond effectively to the complex challenges of Artificial Intelligence.
