Description

The ESTW Friedrichsdorf/Rodheim project includes the construction of a new ESTW-Z in Friedrichsdorf, as well as the construction of a new ESTW-A in Rosbach. The interlocking technology in use no longer corresponds to the state of the art. The interlockings must therefore be replaced by new technology due to their age and design. In addition, the Rodheim station will be converted into a junction station including the construction of a new platform with associated track system. In the course of this, the BÜ has to be rebuilt in Rodheim, expanded by another track and finally integrated into the new ESTW. The complete construction project relates to the railway kilometers 19,000 to railway kilometers 36,000. In the local procurement procedure, all superstructure and civil engineering (railway body) measures for the production of the intersection station, as well as the BÜ 19 (km 28,605) are to be tendered as part of the project new building ESTW Friedrichsdorf / Rodheim. The BÜ's signalling technology will be awarded to Pintsch via the module contract. In addition to the work in the planned total closures, also due to the schedule, work during ongoing operation is necessary.
