Description

The Fraunhofer Society for Applied Research (formerly: GMD - Forschungszentrum Informationstechnik GmbH) has therefore developed microsimulation models and other analytical tools for the planning and impact assessment of federal tax and transfer laws and applies them on behalf of several federal ministries. For the BMBFSFJ, the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft supervises four such models: • the Analysis and Planning System for Family Burden Balancing (APF), • the Analysis System for Retirement Insurance (AsA), • the Analyses on Care Benefits and Severe Illness (ALP) and • the Microeconomic Analyses on Equality and Equal Opportunities (MAGC). These models provide a computational basis for the BMBFSFJ's well-founded contributions to the further development of family burden-sharing, pension schemes, long-term care benefits and severe illness, as well as to the equality policy orientation of labour market policy.
