Description

The object of the procurement is the psychotherapy services of medical rehabilitation, which are the responsibility of the Kymenlaakso wellbeing services county. Medical rehabilitation refers to those forms of healthcare that aim to improve and maintain the physical, mental and social functional capacity of the rehabilitee. The Kymenlaakso wellbeing services county is responsible for the planning of medical rehabilitation, rehabilitation and appropriate treatment. Psychotherapy is a structured interactive process between the patient(s) and the treating person(s). Psychotherapy is a goal-oriented professional activity aimed at eliminating or alleviating a mental health problem or disorder. It is based on an established and proven psychological knowledge base and its framework is defined in the care agreement. The services offered include research, guidance, assessment, therapy and written therapy feedback (for the client). PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS The psychotherapists offered must have completed the psychotherapist training organised by the university or the university together with another educational organisation and the right to use the professional title of psychotherapist granted by the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Valvira). Training started before 31 December 2011 must be a psychotherapist's training approved by Valvira. There may be other requirements for the experience or further training of psychotherapists per sub-area. Psychotherapists for children and adolescents must have either expertise acquired through experience or training in working with children and adolescents. The therapists must have their work supervision arranged by the beginning of the contract period. Work counselling must continue as long as the therapist acts as a medical rehabilitation service provider for the Kymenlaakso wellbeing services county.
