Description

Tuusulan Vesi has implemented the customer information and invoicing system provided by Suomen Vesitieto Oy in 2021. The software service is a browser-based cloud service that digitalizes the customer management and invoicing processes of a water utility, improving the efficiency of operational routines. The software service includes the following sections: - Basic service - Additional services ordered in writing after commissioning - Deployment - Support service The threshold laid down in section 13 of the Act on the Procurement and Concession Contracts of Units Operating in the Water, Energy, Transport and Postal Services Sector (1398/2016) for the procurement of goods and services was lower than when the service was commissioned. The total value of the procurement, calculated at the time of commissioning, for 48 months has been approximately EUR 410,000. National drinking water regulations under the new EU Drinking Water Directive entered into force at the beginning of 2023. The guidelines for the application of domestic water regulations published by Valvira have been updated to comply with the new legislation ( ttps://valvira.fi/health protection/implementation guidelines for domestic water intakes). The legislative package related to the Directive contains a separate Decree on the obligations of water utilities with regard to water consumers in utilities. The key issue is the annual obligation for water utilities to provide information on, among other things, the amount of water supplied to the customer, trends in water use, including comparisons, and the amount of basic fees supplied for drinking water. An additional service package has been implemented in the Water Account customer portal of Vesitieto to fulfil the information obligations required by the Regulation. Substantial changes to the provision of information to water service customers in accordance with the Directive: - Water Services Act, Section 16, Obligation to provide information. - Decree on the water supply information system and communications, Information to be provided to the Customer (section 3). “In addition, the plant shall ensure that a summary of the fulfilment of the quality requirements and quality targets for domestic water during the previous year is available in the data network. The total price of the additional service package for 48 months is EUR 49 932. Text automatically translated in your browsing language Automatically translated
