Description

Die Medizinische Hochschule Hannover verfügt über ein Zentrum für Zahn-, Mund- und Kieferheilkunde, welches in 4 Fachdisziplinen gegliedert ist.
Die Klinik für Kieferorthopädie, die Klinik für Mund-, Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie, die Klinik für Zahnärztliche Prothetik und Biomedizinische Werkstoffkunde, Klinik für Zahnerhaltung, Parodontologie und Präventive Zahnheilkunde. In diesem Zentrum werden jährlich etwa 65 000 Patientenkontakte bei ca. 25 000 Patienten registriert. Pro Semester werden ca. 80 Studenten im Rahmen der studentischen Lehre in den klinischen Behandlungskursen ausgebildet.
Mit Hilfe der anzuschaffenden Intraoralkameras sollen digitale Fotografien innerhalb des Mundes bei hoher Auflösung erstellt werden. Dies dient zur Kommunikation in der Patientenaufklärung, Dokumentation von Befunden, Diagnostik, Wurzelkanalbehandlung, Planung prothetischer Versorgungen sowie für chirurgische Behandlungen.
