GR-Thessaloniki: road construction works
This road project completes the Thessaloniki – Kilkis – Doirani road. The section of length of 11.45 km and cross-section (b4v *) of split streams, of bitumen streams per current of 8.20 m. The motorway is constructed in a new alignment for its longest length except for a section of approximately 1.8 mm which coincides with the existing EO to Kilkis, a variant of the EO for temporary use as part of the EO and then as a side road.
The alignment starts from the Achiro intersection of the vertical axis of the Egnatia road to Serres – Bulgaria meets the EO to Serres, where the existing level node is modified and becomes an imbalance (Migdonia hub), in the form of a partial clover. At a distance of approximately 3 thousand near the village of Forest, the same name is built, in the form of a diamond, with the road connecting the local network to the quarry. At a distance of 3.9 km, the waterfall hub is constructed, also in the form of a diamond to connect the motorway to the local network. The section is completed after 4,3 thousand, connected to the A-K Nea Santa.
Masotomic the road runs parallel to the natural soil on low embankments that increase their height in areas of lower crossings or nodes. Drainage and traffic service techniques are constructed, the first includes tubular and trunks technically transverse or longitudinally for the run-off of rainwater and the second 7 lower passages to maintain traffic, a 80 m long watercourse bridge and two techniques for the protection of natural gas pipelines. There are 4 pavement layers and 4 asphalt layers, one of which is non-slip. The nodes and bridge of the torso are electrically illuminated and the slopes are planted.
