Description

The Füssen-Schwangau primary school and the Anton Storm secondary school Füssen no longer meet the structural, functional and spatial requirements for a modern school building. The two schools, together with sports halls, are housed in a structurally interconnected building complex. Office f64 was commissioned to produce a ‘feasibility study’, which was completed on 18/09/2018 (summary in the “Final Report” of 31.10.2018). Subsequently, variants of concept were proposed. The contracting authority has decided to follow-up approach option 2. To this end, the ‘feasibility study’ recommends the commissioning of a comprehensive refurbishment, the conversion and extension of the existing school buildings, the construction of a new triple sports hall and an underground car park. The ‘feasibility study’ and ‘final report’ form the basis for the description of tasks. They can be found under the link given in section I.1.3.
