Description

This elemental analysis equipment of solid and liquid samples using X-ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy (FRX) allows the detection of light elements up to C, work in microscopic mode (resolution approximately 20 microns) and perform maps of elemental chemical composition in micro/macroscopic mode in samples of dimensions greater than 10 cm, essential characteristics for the project of creation of an Advanced Unit of Non-Destructive Elemental Characterization (UACEND) for which it is intended and that will allow a significant advance of the quality of the research carried out in the UVa. The uniqueness and capabilities of this team will be an international reference, with applications in virtually any field of research (medicine, engineering, forensic analysis, archaeometry, materials science, biotechnology, food industry, pharmaceutical industry, metallurgy, environmental studies, etc.)
